Green's function knockout formalism

چکیده
Knockout nuclear reactions, in which a nucleon is removed from nucleus as result of the collision with another nucleus, have been widely used an experimental tool, both to populate isotopes further stability and obtain information about single-particle nature spectrum. In order fully exploit information, theory needed for description structure nuclei involved, dynamics associated removal mechanisms. The standard approach, using theoretical shell-model spectroscopic factors coupled eikonal model reaction, has successful when context valence nucleons close stability. However, it argued that reaction might need be revisited case exotic nuclei, more specifically highly asymmetric deficient species (neutrons or protons) being removed. We present here new formalism nucleon-removal -addition through knockout transfer treats consistently properties dispersive optical potentials. particular, our includes dynamical effects projectile, explain long standing puzzle quenching extreme neutrons-to-protons ratios.

متن کاملGreen’s Function Formalism for Highly Correlated Systems
We present the Composite Operator Method (COM) as a modern approach to the study of strongly correlated electronic systems, based on the equation of motion and Green’s function method. COM uses propagators of composite operators as building blocks at the basis of approximate calculations and algebra constrains to fix the representation of Green’s functions in order to maintain the algebraic and...
متن کاملDecoherence effects in the Wigner function formalism
We demonstrate the ability of the phase space formulation of quantum mechanics to provide convenient means and intuitive notions for exploring the process of transition from a quantum to a classical state known as decoherence. The Wigner equation, which is usually relevant for electron transport in nanostructures, augmented by the Boltzmann scattering operator is now applied to the time depende...
